Think Outside The Box Inside The Box Media Launches College Desk Column—Articles, Interviews and Opinions from the Desk of College Freshman Alexandra Joan Bennett who is on a Quest to Find the Perfect Major and Path in Life 

Think Outside The Box Inside The Box Media announced today that the column College Desk by Alexandra Joan Bennett has launched on the website. College Desk is a first-person account of the pressures and realities faced by a college student in today’s world where the astronomical costs of going to college make being undecided or undeclared seem like a waste of time and money.

Although drawn to writing most of her life, being told, “journalism is a useless major” influenced the author to start pre-med.  After a disastrous first semester trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, she switched to a business and marketing major.  Not sure if that’s the right fit either, she shares her struggles and search in College Desk.

About the author:

Alexandra Joan Bennett is a budding writer and journalist, and freshman in college. She was the editor for her high school newspaper and attended and competed in high school journalism conferences, conventions and competitions including JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism convention sponsored by National Scholastic Press Association and the Journalism Education Association and, J-Day at the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association, University of Missouri, Columbia.  Ms. Bennett’s collegiate plan includes not hiding inside the bubble of the college experience but existing in the real world as much as possible, getting her degree and preparing for the not so distant future.
