Day 100: The middle

Day 100.  I love beginnings.  I even love endings.  It’s the middle I can’t stand.  Considering I’m in mid-life and I have no desire to rush to my end, I should really start coming to terms with my “middle” hate.  I’m in the middle of scene 18.  Ugh.  I can see the end though and there will be no sleep for me tonight until I finish the fucker.  You see, I got a phone call earlier today that lit a massive fire under my ass.  Like life as we know it is over, right out of a movie, didn’t see that coming plot point two type of “we’re fucked” fire.  I can’t go into the details, they’re actually not mine to share but unfortunately, they directly affect me.  Double UGH.  “I picked a bad day to quit sniffing glue.”  But there’s no time for fun and games or watching Airplane.  I’ve got to laser my focus and go into overdrive in my productivity.  (OR take a nap.)  I have to stay on target and complete my crusade.  (OR go pick up a double double with fries and a chocolate shake.)  I have to push my projects forward.  (OR head to Vegas and put it all on black.)  Seriously.  I now require a finished documentary and the dedicated execution of my plan for the new venture minus any hesitation, procrastination, whining, delay or fear!  I’m freakishly amped in spite of this basically devastating call and you know why?  It’s a beginning born out of an ending—my two favs.  Or I’m just in shock.  Whichever it is, hopefully this new beginning from an unexpected ending will help get me through the middle of the middles I’m in and I’ll get to those middles’ ends by the time I’m in the middle of this new beginning.  All this nonsensical gibberish is making me long for my simple, lovely, glorious middle.  Oh the irony.  Triple UGH.

Until tomorrow, create from what you have…middles and unexpected endings and beginnings.
