In The Trenches—The Founder’s Daily Report: Day 287: Slow restart but still, a start!

Day 287:  So technically, I’m done with scene 6 and scene 7.  I say technically because I really could edit more on both of them and I might.  But for now, I’m saying I’m technically done with them and moving onto scene 8 today.  I gotta pick up my pace!  But, at the same time, I MUST do good work.  I know I said this during the last edit crusade and it was true then and it also applies to this one:  this edit pass is crucial and key to actually having a completed documentary film.  In other words, if I don’t take this pass and take it well, we will never finish!  Dramatic?  Yes.  But nonetheless true.

I can’t say I got in a good groove yesterday.  There was no real flow.  Instead there was dawdling, there was daydreaming, there was napping.  I hope to do better today.  Yes, I’ll be editing on the weekends from here on out.  To finish by December 31st at 11:59pm will require 7 days a week…actually, I plan to build in one day a week away.  But 6 or 7 days a week, that’s okay.  My mind is set and clear on what I have to do and despite the slow restart, I’m pretty pumped up to do it.  Does that mean I’ll actually do it?  I sure hope so!

Until tomorrow, create from what you have….hope.
