In the Trenches—Day 8 Year 2: At Last—Relaxed & Signatory

Day 8 Year 2:  Something shifted in me today.  Hours before we got the final word from our rep at SAG we had an official production number, an amount to wire transfer to them and their general thumb’s up, I relaxed.  Like seriously, completely and totally relaxed.  Not an ounce of that low level (or high level) anxiety to be found.  Oh how glorious it feels not to feel that.  Why now?  Why today?  Perhaps it’s because I’m about to bleed.  Perhaps it’s because I had an amazing meeting with my director and one of our stars of the film today.  They were both delicious and creative and reeking of talent and enthusiasm for our film.  Fun with a capital F, I say!  That’s what I’m talkin’ bout.

From there, I went and met my co-producer for some more wardrobe shopping.  My first outing last Saturday was a disaster and yielded nothing but a splitting headache and a reaffirmation of how much I hate to shop.  Co-Producer made it so much more fun than my solo trek to the mall.  Lemonade was consumed and we found one really awesome dress for one of my scenes!  Woo hoo!  Progress.

Until tomorrow, create from what you have…progress at long last.
