Creating 2015—Day 86:   “All Is Lost”

I finally had a chance to watch All Is Lost on Netflix today.  I often watch movies that match my mood.  And today, I was feeling all is lost.  I’m not sure what is up with the funk I’m in.  I need to work on that.  All Is Lost is a man versus the sea kind of film.  Literally.  It’s just Robert Redford on a sinking boat trying to keep it afloat and stay alive for almost two hours. There are maybe 10 lines of dialogue in the whole thing—not that I counted.  Despite the lack of talking, it was pretty compelling.  But it did lose my interest a few times.  Full disclosure, during those moments, I fast-forwarded…big chunks.  Which is a very bad habit of mine lately. Long story short, I enjoyed it, well, at least the chunks of it I watched—the beginning, middle and end.  I’m hoping my moody urge will be to watch Happy Feet tomorrow.

Until tomorrow, create from what you have…movies that fit your mood.

  1. Might I suggest Overboard? Watched that one with the kids last night. The bathing suits alone are enough to de-funk any moody soul. And so good to see Goldie Hawn!!!

    • I love that movie! Haven’t seen it in forever. I will add it to my “make me happier” movie list. Thank you! 🙂
