Creating 2015—Day 111:   Wide Awake

I wake up at 2am to pee.  This is my third or fourth time since I feel asleep.  Hmmmmm.  That’s a lot even for me.  We are cleansing so I am drinking a ton of water but I immediately worry I might have a urinary tract infection because this time it burns just the slightest bit.  Shit.  I hate that feeling and won’t take any chances.  I am currently drinking a big glass of water spiked with eight ounces of pure cranberry juice.

Cranberry cheers!

Wee hours of the morning to ya!  Cranberry cheers!

At the first sign of a UTI, I drink about 16 ounces of the bitter stuff diluted with double the water.  Some research says it’s a total myth.  One WebMD article cites a study that says it prevents bacteria from sticking around to turn into an infection.  Another says it’s a mixed bag.  All I know is this method seems to flush whatever is in my system out and any slight discomfort clears up.  Real?  The power of a placebo?  I don’t care.  At 3:15am, I’ll take any and all help—real, imagined, or otherwise—I can get as long as it does the trick.

Until tomorrow, create from what you have…an early wake-up pee.
