Creating 2015—Day 117: Monday Marvel

My word for today is “marvel.”  No, not the comic book conglomerate.  The noun.  Mondays are wonderful things to me.   I’ve always loved them.  They feel like a fresh start.  They are full of promise.  They are a new beginning.  Another chance to get it done, get it right, get it going—whatever “it” is.

Also, the verb.  How wonderful is it to marvel at something?  To be amazed at the beauty in the world.  To be amazed at the ability of your fingers to peel a banana.  To be amazed by the power of your feet to take you up a hill.  To be amazed at the power of creating something, however small.

I’m marveling at how long it’s taking me to finish the film (2 years and 3 months since we wrapped production) yet I’m also marveling at the fact that I did it in the first place.  And I am marveling, right this second, at how much I love and appreciate each and everyone of you for being on this journey with me and being my strength and my heart.

So, here’s to you on this wonderful day, this new Monday!  A marvel before us.  It’s ours for the taking.  It’s ours to create.  It’s ours to marvel at.
