Creating 2015—Day 130:   Happy Mother’s Day!

I have the most incredible mother in the world!  Seriously.  Joan Bennett is the best mom IN THE WORLD.  She’s my rock, my cheerleader, my savior, my inspiration, my voice of reason, my friend and my hero.  She raised six kids and was married to the love of her life for 56 years.

She’s gorgeous, talented, kind, ambitious, the life of the party and is kicking ass at 75 years young.  She still works everyday in her business, Bennett’s Furniture Refinishing.  She mows her own lawn, grows her own garden and catches her own fish.

She believes in teaching someone how to fish instead of giving handouts.  She believes in her children, her grandchildren, and family always being there for each other.

She loves her smokes, her gambling and a sweet margarita—and she won’t apologize nor does she give a shit if you’re judging her for it.

She believes you are only old if you think you are old.  She doesn’t think she’s old.  Basically, she’s one badass mother.

I aspire to be half as cool as she is when I grow up.
