Do you know what your shadow is?

If the contrast to light is dark, right to wrong, good to bad, our shadow is the contrast to our best self.  Do you know what your shadow is?  Do you know what brings out your shadow?  What brings out the worst in you?  Ignoring your dark side doesn’t make it go away, it only allows you to pretend it doesn’t exist or to feel ashamed of it.  Give yourself the best shot at success by feeding and nurturing your light to shine brighter and by acknowledging and addressing and dealing with your shadow.  Whatever your shadow is—fear, anger, resentment, jealousy, insecurity, competing, comparing, laziness, negativity, addiction, egotism—don’t let it stop you.  Shift it!  Channel it into healthy outlets—meditation, exercise, journaling, art, music, writing, work.  If you can’t do it by yourself, get some help.  Don’t let your shadow keep you from creating the life you dream of having.   Be aware of your shadow.  Be aware of what brings it out.  Shift it.  Channel it.  Create from it.
