If you are going to be in LA on Tuesday, October 9th, please join us at Muse on 8th at 7pm for a casual evening of dreams, dreaming, and dream declaring to foster motivation. The event is being held at the cafe Muse on 8th at 759 S. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles, California. Just south of Wilshire Blvd at 8th Street. The experiment creators, Kelli Joan Bennett and Leslie Ann Owen, will be speaking about the experiment, its goals and impact and doing a presentation of the dreams that have been contributed so far.
Special guest Dr. Jessica Romeyn, Psy.D. will give a talk on the psychology of motivation and the power of choice. This will be followed by a group discussion of thoughts, comments and questions.
The evening will be rounded out by handing out Declaring Your Dream Kits for a workshop of creative dream declaring. The experiment is anonymous so the dreams declared during the workshop will be collected via a secret Dream Collection Box. The dreams will later be included in the experiment on the Declare Your Dream page.
The evening will last approximately one hour. The event is free to attend. Food and beverages are available for purchase at the cafe. Arrive early to get food, get drinks and get settled. To RSVP for the event, email your name and number of guests to info@ExperimentalMotivationProject.com
Parking: There are non-metered, one-hour parking spots all along 8th Street. There is permit-only parking after 6pm in the surrrounding neighborhoods so read signs carefully. Parking on La Brea is restricted between 4pm and 7pm. There is $5 parking at night at the Bank of America, one block north of the cafe, on La Brea & Wilshire Blvd. Across the street from the BofA, on Wilshire & Detroit, there is a large public, metered lot, which is open until 10pm.
We hope you can join us. We look forward to dreaming with you.
