Creating 2015—Day 21:  A Different Way Home

My flight home this morning is cancelled.  I only find this out because Vic, our car service driver, texts me to say, “Your flight is cancelled.”  Not a peep about this vital information from Southwest, the airline I’m flying on.  Apparently, they already booked all the passengers on a flight two hours later.  That doesn’t work for me!  I’m on a very tight schedule with several appointments after I get home.

The race begins to get to a different airport to fly into yet another different airport to still make it home in enough time to make it to where I need to go.

Long story short, I made it home at the same scheduled time…just a different way.  It was dicey there for about an hour but it all turned out to be smooth sailing.   There is a lesson to glean in there somewhere about trust and going with the flow and being open to taking a different path…but I am too tired to fully examine it right now.  Suffice it to say, lesson learned!
