Creating 2015—Day 9: Good Morning From Cancun!

Well, technically, I think we are about 40 minutes outside of Cancun in Riviera Maya.  Or something like that. It wasn’t exactly easy getting here.  Our flight was delayed and then we had to wait over an hour for our shuttle bus to the hotel to leave.  One of the passengers had lost luggage.  Weary with headaches, Uh-mazing Romantic Partner and I try not to be grumpy.  After all, we are somewhere tropical.

Good morning from Cancun!

Three hours late, we finally get to our first event—Best Friend Bride’s rehearsal dinner—the reason we are here.  She looks gorgeous!  She glows!  This impending union clearly works for her.  We have a little champagne, make it through dinner, see some old friends, but poop out before it’s time to drink more and do karaoke.  We are fried.  We head back to our room to pass out.

So, really, we haven’t seen anything in Cancun yet.  We will, at some point, explore, but today is the wedding.  I am joining the bride and her girls to get ready together in a few hours.  For now, I enjoy relaxing on the patio of our hotel room.  Warm breezes, a thatched roof and palm trees surround me.  It’s beautiful.  I am thankful.  Wish you were here!
