Creating 2015—Day 125: Happy Cinco de Mayo!

No, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day.  That is September 16th according to Wikipedia.  Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the day the Mexican army defeated French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.  For some, like me in my younger days, Cinco de Mayo was the “Dia de Margarita.”  In English: The day of the margarita—one of my favorite cocktails and the perfect excuse to have one even in the middle of the week.  I haven’t actually had a margarita in a really long time.  Sounds so good!  But unfortunately, I’m still on a cleanse and margaritas are not on the menu.  So, I raise my imaginary Cadillac margarita on the rocks with salt to toast the Mexicans and their victory.  Cheers!

Until tomorrow, create from what you have…a good reason to drink margaritas.
